It’s been a while, I know, but I am back with a Monday Meals – albeit, not a very detailed one! But, it’s mainly to highlight the most AMAZING utensil I’ve had in a long time! My mum went to a Pampered Chef party and brought me back a potato masher. She said the host of the party was raving about it, so she decided to buy them for us both.
Exciting, I can hear you say, sarcastically! But trust me, if you like creamy mashed potatoes, then you need this masher in your life!
The mash I’ve used it for is part of a simple recipe from Olive mag which I sort of adapted to suit what was left in the fridge. It’s Chicken Pieces wrapped in prosciutto and salami, with garlic mash and green beans.
Chicken thighs and drumsticks
Parma ham and salami slices
Garlic x 2 cloves
Read the recipe (1.)
It’s pretty simple – wrap the chicken pieces in parma ham or salami, or Serrano ham, with a bit of sage tucked in each – the salami fat does disappear and you get holey meat, which is quite amusing. Secure with cocktail sticks if need be, and stick on a baking tray (2.)
Crush your garlic and boil up some potatoes. Add the garlic to some butter in a frying pan, and cook it gently. Pour it into your potatoes with a little milk and mash with your Pampered Chef Mix ‘N’ Masher (3.)
Marvel at the mash you have created. After it’s had 40 minutes, take the chicken out of the oven and serve with the mash and some green veg (4.). Yum!
